WARNING: if background audio doesn't work the first time, restart (hard reset) the console - not something wanted, a bug coming from the update process, it should be ok from fresh install
This is a major release with a fresh new interface optimized for XboxOne and gamepad.
The old UI [hamburger menu + cursor navigation] is still available (ModernUI switch in the Settings).
On desktop, the old UI is launched by default, you have to manually change it in the settings (ModernUI switch in the Settings).
The new interface uses the new background audio model (switch automatically sound in the background, no need to select it).
The UI is designed for gamepad, with handy shortcuts (don't forget the hamburger button on the gamepad to open submenus).
The remote control still works :)
I hope you will like this new release [as it' fresh, it could contains some unwanted bugs]

Tip: when you authenticate to your Spotify account on XBoxOne with the new interface, if you can't scroll the login page with the gamepad, hold the A button on the (not very visible) scrollbar at the right and scroll with the stick

Finally workaround for "Loading background audio splashscreen bug" on XBoxOne. It was a bug on the XBOXOne OS (this is why there's no problem on other devices). The loopback localhost could be locked (randomly) for TCP connections, specially when rebooting the console. Sorry for the long time to fix it, it was pretty hard to find the real issue, hope you will update your review in consequence ;).
